The ferry boat scene was shot at Fort BuenaVentura Park in Ogden, Utah. The ferry was a practical set. It carried the wagon and two actors. The camera boat can be seen on the opposite side of the boat.
The Gazette newspaper office was built in Morgan, Utah in a vacant corner lot. The street was covered in three inches of dirt. It was an interior/exterior set. The wall sections between the columns were wild, as were the interior walls.
Utah Bank was a facade at the end of the street set. It, along with many other facades, hid the modern day train depot. Included with the Bank drawings is the drawings for the adjacent building.
